Marlena Pique , LICSW specializes in children, teens, couples, and families. She is particularly skilled at helping families break through problems in communication and relationships. She has also worked extensively with blended family difficulties, adoptions, couples, and women’s issues. Mrs. Pique recognizes that effective resolution of childhood or teenage challenges typically require involvement and support of the parents and she is quick to provide education or skills building to help parents be part of the solution.
Mrs. Pique is a native of Columbia, Maryland and graduated from the University of Maryland. She is fluent in Spanish. Mrs. Pique acquired her Masters of Social Work in 1994 and worked for Bethany Christian Services of Maryland as a family counselor. From 1997 to 2002, she worked for Catholic Charities of Atlanta as a child and family therapist. More recently, Mrs. Pique worked at Brooklane Behavioral Health in Hagerstown, MD.
Marlena grew up in Presbyterian (USA) church. She was a member of Chapelgate Presbyterian Church (PCA) for several years in college and then attended Living Waters Fellowship (charismatic) prior to joining the Catholic Church in 1997. She is a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Martinsburg and considers herself an ecumenical evangelical Catholic Christian. She enjoys serving the Latino community with counseling services. Dr. Rachel Burke (previously Dr. Weiman) is a Clinical Psychologist who specializes in individual, family, and child therapy. Dr. Burke earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University in DC, and continued her clinical training at Johns Hopkins and Kennedy Krieger Institute. Prior to that, she earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Johns Hopkins University.
Dr. Burke uses an integrative framework to maximize her client’s outcomes and progress. She creates a safe and strong alliance with her clients so that problems are quickly identified and solutions can be effectively implemented. Often therapy includes helping clients learn skills that were previously underdeveloped or never learned and practiced (such as anger management, communication between couples or between parent and child, social skills, anxiety-reduction strategies, parenting strategies). Dr. Burke also provides supportive therapy for those going through crises or experiencing difficult stages in life. Dr. Jonathan M. Hartiens is a Clinical Psychologist specializing in individual, couples and family therapy. He has over 20 years of experience and developed an expertise in the treatment of Depression, Anxiety, and Addictions. In addition to bein g a prominent therapist, he is frequently invited to speak at national conferences and to general audiences on addiction treatment. Besides helping those who suffer with chemical addictions, he is also a well known therapist for treating sexual addictions. He was on the medical staff at the VAMC Medical Center, Martinsburg, from 2001 to 2011 where he worked for 9 years at the Center for Addiction Treatment; three of those years as its Director. He's authored and been awarded several grants to expand the range of addiction treatment into rural areas.
Dr. Hartiens served as a Navy Psychologist from 1994 to 2001. He completed his doctoral internship at National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. He also served at Naval Hospital Groton, CT and at Naval Air Station Sigonella, Sicily.

Timothy Teague, Ph.D. has been a licensed professional counselor since 1983, and has strengthened thousands of marriages and families through counseling and seminars with a full-time practice since 1985. He has served two churches in Northern Virginia in the area of counseling and family ministry utilizing biblical truth. He enjoys working with couples, adults, teens, and children above the age of 5. Michelle Smith, LICSW is a therapist at Christian Psychological Services. Michelle enjoys working with couples, children, and families. She has over ten years of experience in Social Work and earned her Masters of Social Work degree from West Virginia University in 2013. Michelle has experience working in the disciplines of addiction, attachment/adoption, foster parents, crisis intervention, trauma, and parent education with couples, families, children, adolescents, and adults.
As a Professional Social Worker, she utilizes the following approaches: Cognitive Behavioral, Solution Focused, and Nurtured Heart. Candace is the Office Manager for Christian Psychological Services. She has 10 years of experience in office management, billing, and coding. Candace has previous experience in Internal and Family Medicine, OBGYN, ENT, and Endocrinology. Candace received her Associates of Applied Science in 2007 from Kaplan University in Hagerstown, MD. She is also a Medical Assistant and Certified Professional Coder. Candace is a lifelong resident of Jefferson County, WV. She currently resides in Kearneysville with her husband, Matt, and their 3 children. She attends Calvary United Methodist Church in Martinsburg where she is involved with youth ministry.
